Bible Verse for January 18th.

For promotion comes neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south, but
God is the judge: He puts down one and sets up another.
Psalm 75:6-7
KJV

This verse tells us that promotion comes from God alone. We may think that others are
responsible for it, but ultimately God is in control. Many feel that it's because of their
abilities and track record that they are promoted and while there's some merit to this, God
is the one who makes it possible for anyone to be elevated.There are some who may have
been bypassed for promotion and beat themselves up as to why that happened. Others
might even become angry and bitter and find reasons for it.....gender, race and nepotism.
It's at this point we must recognize that God sees the entire picture and we need to trust
Him with our future as He has a plan for us.
Sometimes promotion might be delayed, because it's not the right 'fit' for us, the timing
might be wrong or because God wants to teach us something while we wait. Our job is to
trust Him.
The journey to get promoted might be difficult and we might be tempted to give up, but
we need to keep the faith and have a good attitude. God's timing is perfect and at just the
right time, we will be rewarded.
Thank you Lord for Your love for me. I know that anything I accomplish in my life is
because of You, Lord Jesus. I trust in You and even when I don't get what I want, I know
You have something better in store for me and it will happen in Your time. I love you,
Jesus. Amen!
