Bible Verse for January 15th.

"I will bless you and make your name great; And you shall be a blessing."
Genesis 12:2
NKJ Bible

This was God's promise to Abraham, but it applies to us as children of God. We are
blessed by God to be a blessing to others. Every good thing that we have comes from
Him and He wants us to open our hearts and bless those around us. Some people equate
being blessed with finances alone, but it encompasses everything that Almighty God has
so freely given to us.....our skills, talents, abilities, our creativity. If we are privileged to
be blessed financially, then we need to use our finances to help those in need and to
spread the gospel of Jesus. Some may be blessed with musical abilities, then use every
opportunity to minister to someone through music. Yet, another may be blessed with a
great teaching ability, use it to teach someone who needs help. We may be blessed in
different ways, but whatever God has given us, we have a mandate from Him to bless the
lives of others.
We are not blessed to hoard and hold on to what we have. There's no greater joy we can
experience than that of blessing someone. As we bless others with what we've been
given, God blesses us in return.
Thank you Lord for blessing me. You have blessed me to bless and serve others. Help me
to never let an opportunity pass me by. Make me sensitive to the needs of those around
me and may my motives for sharing always be unselfish. I love you, Lord Jesus. Amen!

Be Blessed!
Lydia
