Bible Verse for February 22nd.

Then you will not become spiritually dull and indifferent.

People can be indifferent and complacent about so much in life. Things that once mattered are not important anymore and there seems to be a lack of enthusiasm and passion about things that should matter. Indifference can creep in over time and it affects relationships, jobs, attitudes, views and most of all, our spiritual life. At work, many people become clock watchers, just putting in their time with no zeal or drive for what they're doing. Relationships also suffer because of indifference. Spouses become self absorbed with their own interests, the spark seems to be lost and they simply co-exist, wrapped up in their own world.

The same is true of our relationship with God. Once we were on fire for Him, spending time in His Word, in prayer and fellowship, but now we've become passive and lukewarm. When this happens, we become desensitized, nothing seems to concern us anymore and we adopt an attitude of acceptance where everyone is free to do what they want, whether it's right or wrong in the sight of God. We must shake off indifference, get our lives back on track with God and become passionate about our relationship with Him. When we do this, it filters into everything we do. Indifference ends, relationships thrive and joy and enthusiasm is present again.

Thank you Lord for Your love. Help me to never become indifferent and passive about my relationship with you. Fill me with Your joy, peace, contentment and happiness and may it filter into every area of my life. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
