Today, as we celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus, our hearts are filled with love and joy that He is risen, just as He said. For many, this is simply a day that's all about Easter eggs and bunnies. For others, it may be one for a mandatory church visit, but for the child of God, it's a day to rejoice in the knowledge that Jesus lives, in our hearts, souls and minds. Because He lives, we have the hope and assurance of eternal life with Him.
It's an awesome thought to know that Jesus sits at the right hand of His Father and is continually interceding for us. We must do our part and live in a manner that's pleasing and acceptable to Him. Jesus lives and we need to let others know, not only by what we say, but by everything we do. On this glorious day, we are so thankful that Christ arose.
Thank you Lord Jesus for defeating death. Because You live, I am filled with hope and assurance that one day I will spend eternity with You. I love you Jesus. Amen!
