“As He rode along, the crowds spread out their garments on the road ahead of Him.

When He reached the place where the road started down the Mount of Olives, all of His followers began to shout and sing as they walked along, praising God for all the wonderful miracles they had seen.

“Blessings on the King who comes in the name of the Lord! Peace in heaven, and glory in highest heaven!”

But some of the Pharisees among the crowd said, “Teacher, rebuke your followers for saying things like that!”

He replied, “If they kept quiet, the stones along the road would burst into cheers!””

Luke 19:36-40 NLT Bible

Jesus was riding on a colt making His triumphant entry into Jerusalem. The crowds threw their clothes on the road and waved palm branches as they sang praises to HIM. They were enthusiastic in their praises to Jesus because of the miracles they had seen Him perform. As expected, not everyone shared their joy. The 'religious' zealots were upset and wanted Jesus to silence the crowds. He simply stated that if they were quiet, the stones would praise Him.

This verse should challenge us to never neglect to praise God. We need to praise Him all the time. Sometimes we are guilty of being silent when we should be praising and thanking Him for all He's done for us. We don't have to be concerned about what others think. All that really matters is our Saviour and what He means to us.

Thank you Lord for all You've done for me! You are my Lord and Saviour and I praise and worship you. May I never neglect to praise you. I love you, Jesus. Amen!

Be Blessed!
