And let us not grow weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
Galatians 6:9
KJ Bible
One of my favourite verses in the Bible reminds us that we are not to get tired of doing good because one day we will be rewarded for it, if we don't give up. It's easy to grow weary of doing things for God that we previously enjoyed. It may be teaching Sunday School, singing in the choir, ushering, helping at a seniors' home, ministering to the homeless and so much more. Our excitement and enthusiasm begin to wane and we become disheartened.
This verse reminds us that regardless of what we are seeing with our natural eyes, we are to keep on doing good. We can't allow ourselves to become physically, mentally and emotionally exhausted. We must fix our eyes on Jesus and be refreshed and revitalized by spending time in His Presence. Only then will we be energized to continue doing good for Him. If we don't grow weary, in due season we will reap our reward.
Thank you Lord for Your Strength. Help me to never give in to weariness or discouragement, but may I always keep pressing on and doing good for you. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
Be Blessed!
