Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other's faults because of your love.

Ephesians 4:2 NLT Bible

This verse holds the key for success in any relationship, personal or otherwise. We need to be humble and gentle, always patient with each other and be willing to overlook faults because of the love we have for others. Jesus is our perfect example. He never treated anyone with disdain and had the gentlest spirit anyone could have. When we love God, we love people and this causes us to see beyond their faults and oddities to the true depth of character that lies within them.

Too many believers walk around with a feeling of superiority and an abrasive and judgemental manner ready to criticize loved ones and friends for their flaws. We must be aware of how our negative behaviour can impact the lives of those around us and search ourselves and determine if we lack these godly qualities. We need to surrender our emotions to God and ask Him to fill us with gentleness, humility, patience and above all His love. This is a work in progress and as we begin to infuse these qualities in our daily interactions, relationships thrive and we become credible witnesses for Almighty God.

Thank you, Lord, for loving me just as I am. Help me to be humble, gentle, patient and kind. Let me see others through eyes of love and be able to overlook faults and peculiarities. Make me more like you, Lord. I love you, Jesus. Amen!

Be Blessed!

Commit everything you do to The Lord. Trust HIM, and He will help you.

Psalm 37:5 NLT Bible

As believers, many of us are guilty of making decisions on our own. We think that our ideas are feasible and we forge ahead and sometimes the outcome is not what we anticipated. In this simple but powerful verse, we are advised to commit or give everything to God. It's not our job to pick and choose what circumstance or problem we want God to take care of. We are simply told to give it all to God, to entrust Him with everything we are doing and then rest in His promise that HE will help us.

This means we commit every decision pertinent to our careers, relationships, finances, parenting, health, education and our lives as a whole to Almighty God. It's recognizing our limited understanding and placing our trust in a great and awesome God who knows what's best for us.

Thank you, Lord, for Your help. I commit my ideas and plans to you and ask for Your guidance and direction. You see the entire picture and with Your help, I will succeed. I love you, Jesus. Amen!

Be Blessed!

John 15:1-8NLT

1. “I am the true grapevine, and my Father is the gardener.

2. He cuts off every branch of mine that doesn’t produce fruit, and He prunes the branches that do bear fruit so they will produce even more.

3. You have already been pruned and purified by the message I have given you.

4. Remain in Me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in Me.

5. “Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in Me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from Me you can do nothing.

6. Anyone who does not remain in Me is thrown away like a useless branch and withers. Such branches are gathered into a pile to be burned.

7. But if you remain in Me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted!

8. When you produce much fruit, you are My true disciples. This brings great glory to my Father.

If you listen to these commands of the LORD your God that I am giving you today, and if you will carefully obey them, the LORD will make you the head and not the tail, and you will always be on top and never at the bottom.

Deuteronomy 28:13 NLT Bible

This is God's promise to us, to make us the head and not the tail, but it comes with a requirement....obedience. God wants to see us living in victory, triumphant over circumstances and temptations, but we must be willing to do our part. Many believers go through life living like the tail, always thinking of themselves as the underdog. They walk around forlorn and dejected, thinking that they're getting a raw deal in life. However, if we understand the promise that God has given us in His Word and comply with the conditions, we can be the head and live up to our full potential.

We have to be obedient and faithful in our service to God, and this is an ongoing process. It's obeying God regardless of how difficult it may be at times. As we walk in obedience, God lifts us up and pours out His blessings on our lives. We are empowered and given the strength to be examples of goodness and righteousness. Feelings of inferiority and self loathing disappear, and we can hold our heads high and be confident of who we are in Christ Jesus. God has destined us to be the head and to be on top. As His children, we need to grab hold of this promise and strive to live in total obedience.

Thank you, Lord, for making me the head and not the tail. I need Your strength, wisdom and guidance, so that I can always be obedient to Your laws and commands. I love you, Jesus. Amen!

Be Blessed!

Isaiah 8:1-2 / 9-12 NLT

1. So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus.

2. And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death.

9. But you are not controlled by your sinful nature. You are controlled by the Spirit if you have the Spirit of God living in you. (And remember that those who do not have the Spirit of Christ living in them do not belong to him at all.)

10. And Christ lives within you, so even though your body will die because of sin, the Spirit gives you life because you have been made right with God.

11. The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you.

12. Therefore, dear brothers and sisters, you have no obligation to do what your sinful nature urges you to do.
