His mercies never cease.

Make every effort to keep yourselves united in the Spirit, binding yourselves together with peace.

Ephesians 4:3 NLT Bible

It's not always easy. Sometimes it's very difficult for unity and peace to prevail, but as followers of Jesus Christ, we should make every effort to be united and at peace with each other. We are unique individuals, with our own peculiarities, ideas, views and temperament, and discord can easily set in when all these differences collide. What we need to be cognizant of is the fact that as believers, we are unified in our faith and belief in Almighty God.

As much as possible, we should try to never allow our relationships to disintegrate because of disunity and discord. We may have to walk away from potentially volatile situations, be open to another's viewpoint, exercise patience, self-control, sensitivity, forgiveness, compassion, mercy and above all, allow our love for God and each other to guide us. It's the only way for unity and peace to reign.

Thank you, Lord, for Your perfect peace. Help me to make every effort to have unity and peace present in all my relationships. Let me be sensitive to the feelings and views of others. I love you, Jesus. Amen!

Be Blessed!

Philippians 2:5:11 NKJV

5. Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus,

6. Who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God,

7. But made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men.

8. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.

9. Therefore, God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name, which is above every name,

10. That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth,

11. And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Oh, how I love Your law! I meditate on it all day long.

Psalm 119:97 NIV Bible

The Word of God should be our constant companion. Sadly, for many of us, it's been replaced by our mobile phones and other social media sources. We are never too busy to watch our favourite shows or to stay connected to social media. Most of us check our mobile phones regularly throughout the day, then it's the last thing we do before going to bed and first thing again in the morning, but we find ourselves too busy to spend time with God and meditate on His Word. The Bible is our guide and road map for living holy, pleasing and acceptable lives and we can't let anything sidetrack us from spending time in the Word. God speaks to us through His Word and if we truly love Him, we want to please Him and to do that, we must study His laws and precepts.

If we are guilty of being too absorbed in our own pursuits and have no time to spend in the Word of God, we need to rearrange our priorities. Fellowship with God should take precedence over everything else. Instead of constantly reaching for our mobile phones, we should grab our Bibles and let God speak to us. We may also need to turn off our television sets and study His Word. Loving God means giving the best of ourselves to Him, doing the things that would bring honour to Him and one way to do this is to saturate our hearts and minds with the truths found in His Word.

Thank you, Lord, for Your Word! Forgive me for being too busy and self absorbed in my own activities and neglecting to meditate on Your Word. I purpose to make fellowship with You and reading Your Word a priority. I love you, Jesus. Amen!

Be Blessed!

Isaiah 58:6-9 NKJV

6. Is this not the fast that I have chosen:
To loose the bonds of wickedness,
To undo the heavy burdens,
To let the oppressed go free,
And that you break every yoke?
7. Is it not to share your bread with the hungry,
And that you bring to your house the poor who are cast out;
When you see the naked, that you cover him,
And not hide yourself from your own flesh?
8. Then your light shall break forth like the morning,
Your healing shall spring forth speedily,
And your righteousness shall go before you;
The glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard.
9. Then you shall call, and the Lord will answer;

You shall cry, and He will say, ‘Here I am.

You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in Your bottle. You have recorded each one in Your book.

Psalm 56:8 NLT Bible

Crying is a normal reaction to different situations. We cry when we're sad and sometimes when we're happy. Many people view tears as a sign of weakness, but that is so far from the truth. Our tears speak volumes and express what we have difficulty saying. So many times we come to God with our problems and all we can do is weep in His Presence, because our spirits are crushed and we feel overwhelmed by the burdens. God cares and He sees our tears and has a record of them. What really causes us to weep? Sometimes it's because of sickness, grief, friends and family who are hurting or lonely, those who are lost and need Jesus and so much more. Whatever the cause for our tears, we need to know that God identifies with our pain and is touched by our weeping.

God is compassionate and caring and, in His time, He will answer. He understands and knows the reason for every tear we shed. Psalm 126:5 tells us that when we sow in tears, we will reap in joy. As we cry out to God, our weeping expresses the pain and concern that's buried deep within us, and He keeps track of our sorrow. Tears bring relief, release, assurance and peace. Our spirits are lifted and we can look forward to the answers that will ultimately come, in God's time.

Thank you, Lord, for Your compassion. You see my tears and know the reason for them. Sometimes, I feel overwhelmed and all I can do is weep in Your Presence. Lord, I thank you for caring about me and I know that You will answer. I love you, Jesus. Amen!

Be Blessed!

Matthew 4:1-4 NLT

1. Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted there by the devil.

2. For forty days and forty nights He fasted and became very hungry.

3. During that time the devil came and said to Him, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become loaves of bread.”

4. But Jesus told him, “No! The Scriptures say,

‘People do not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.”
