As believers, we need to
imitate God in everything we do, if we want to lead holy and righteous lives.
Our loved ones, friends and colleagues are looking at us to see if our actions
line up with our beliefs and we must ensure that our lives are exemplary. To do
this, we must look to God because He personifies everything that is good and
pure. He is loving, kind, holy, righteous, compassionate and tender hearted and
has all the attributes we should emulate.
In order to imitate God, we
must first know Him and be in an intimate and ongoing relationship with Him. He
has to be the centre of our lives and everything we do must be all for His
honour and glory. We can't go wrong when we follow in God's footsteps. We may
find it difficult at times, but He is always with us. God is our perfect
example.
Thank
you, Lord, for being the perfect example of all that is holy and righteous. My
desire is to follow in Your footsteps and to let everything I say and do
reflect you. Help me, in turn, to be a godly example to those around me. I love
you, Jesus. Amen!

When we know God, it makes a
difference in our lives. Everything changes, our demeanour, our outlook on
life, our willingness to serve and the way we treat others. It's as if we are
seeing them differently, viewing them through eyes and hearts that have changed
and are now filled with a deep love for God and others. A relationship with God
changes our priorities and the things that we once deemed important are now
diminished. Our desire is now to develop a deeper and more intimate
relationship with God, to live according to His precepts and make a difference
in the lives of those around us.
We need to let God's Spirit
transform our thoughts and attitudes and help us to live righteous and holy
lives. We must recognize that God has called us to a brand, new way of living
that's totally dependent on His grace, strength and power. Some of the old
things that we've said and done now seem inappropriate and displeasing, and our
desire to live righteous and holy becomes the most important thing in our
lives. A relationship with God changes us and impacts the lives of those around
us forever.
Thank
you, Lord, for saving me! What a difference You've made in my life. Without
You, my life would be meaningless. Lord, I pray that Your Holy Spirit will
