Joyful are those who obey His laws and search for Him with all their hearts. They do not compromise with evil, and they walk only in His paths.

Psalm 119:2-3 NLT Bible

When we obey God and diligently seek Him, we are filled with His joy. We still face challenges, but because our lives are rooted in Him, we have the assurance that all will be well. Sadly, we live in an age where so many people are compromising their belief and faith in God and doing things that are contrary to His Word with little or no regard to the consequences.

People compromise for many reasons. It could be a desire to fit in with the crowd, the tug of bad habits and lustful pleasures, the need to be popular or a lack of biblical knowledge regarding right and wrong. Whatever the reason, it grieves and displeases God. Left unchecked, we soon become indifferent and readily compromise the beliefs we once cherished. We need to acknowledge our mistakes and get back on the godly path. 

Thank you, Lord, for Your laws. Help me to obey them, to seek you with all my heart and walk only in Your path. In an ever-changing world, may I never compromise my beliefs. I love you, Jesus. Amen!

We live in an age where lines between right and wrong are blurred and as believers, it's critical that we give careful thought to the way we live. We must examine our thoughts, words and actions to ensure that we are honouring God in it all. The way we behave at home and when we're out in public must always reflect our faith and belief in God.

Are we giving God the time He deserves? Are we using our finances wisely? Are we swayed by new ideologies that are contrary to the Word of God? Are we appreciative of the people in our lives? Are we choosing our friends wisely? Are we silent when we should speak up? Are we selective about what we watch? We must ask ourselves these and many more questions as we examine our lives to ensure that God is glorified in all we say and do. He must be the foundation upon which we build our lives.

Thank you Lord for being my God. My deepest desire is to love, obey and honour you in every area of my life. Help me to be obedient to the nudge of the Holy Spirit. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
