Whatever is good and perfect is a gift coming down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow.

James 1:17 NLT

Lord, I come before You with a grateful heart, thanking You for the gift of this day. I ask for Your blessing and protection over my loved ones and relatives. Keep us safe from harmful desires and guide us to focus on Your goodness at all times. I love you Jesus. Amen!

…. let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us.

Hebrews 12:1 NLT Bible

Oftentimes, we find ourselves holding on to things or even relationships that hinder our walk with God. As His children, we simply cannot allow anything or anyone to jeopardize the most important relationship in our life. It could be the company we keep with people who are constantly urging us to do things that are contrary to the Word of God, or they may be minimizing our self worth, berating, insulting and putting us down. We need to love them but let them go. Bad habits, addictions, negative emotions, fears, insecurities, failures, past mistakes, grudges and unforgiveness must be put aside so we can run the race that God has set before us.

Sometimes it's difficult to let go of these things because we've developed an unhealthy attachment to them and believe we would be unable to carry on without them. It actually seems like a noose around our necks, and we are unable to break free. The good news is that we can. With help from God, we can strip ourselves of these things, so we can fulfill our purpose and destiny in this life. Our future, our happiness and our relationship with God and our fellow man depends on it.

Thank you Lord for Your help. Today with Your help, I strip off all the things that are hindering my walk with You, and I lay them all at the Cross. My desire is to run the race You have set before me with endurance and perseverance. I love you, Jesus. Amen!

Be Blessed!

Matthew 7:7-12 NKJV

7. “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.

8. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.

9. Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone?

10. Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent?

11. If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!

12. Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.

Don't forget to show hospitality to strangers, for some who have done this have entertained angels without realizing it!

Hebrews13:2 NLT Bible

Oftentimes, we are guilty of remaining in our cozy circle of family and friends and we exclude people we don't know. As children on God, we are called to embrace everyone, friends and strangers alike, showing the love of God in tangible and meaningful ways. This means that we need to get out of our comfort zone and be hospitable to everyone. There are people all around us who may appreciate a hot meal, a kind word, some warm clothes, maybe an evening in our homes or some financial help. We just need to give generously of our time and resources to anyone in need, regardless of their ethnicity or social status.

To be hospitable encompasses being caring and kind at all times, without grumbling or complaining. Most of us are familiar with the parable of the Good Samaritan, who saw a man, beaten and left alone at the side of the road and he simply cared for him, without a thought about his background. This should be our frame of mind about being hospitable. It's opening our hearts and hands to anyone in need, because loving God involves loving all people. This verse also tells us that many people have been kind to strangers and have unknowingly entertained angels. What an awesome thought. We should purpose to never let opportunities pass us by to be hospitable.

Thank you Lord for the gift of hospitality. Let me always be kind and caring to friends and strangers alike, without grumbling or complaining and may Your love be evident in everything I say and do. I love you, Jesus. Amen!

Be Blessed!

Romans 8:35-39 NLT

35. Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean He no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death?

36. (As the Scriptures say, “For your sake we are killed every day; we are being slaughtered like sheep.”)

37. No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.

38. And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love.

39. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Very early on Sunday morning, just at sunrise, they went to the tomb. On the way they were asking each other, "Who will roll away the stone for us from the entrance to the tomb?"

But as they arrived, they looked up and saw that the stone, which was very large, had already been rolled aside.

When they entered the tomb, they saw a young man clothed in a white robe sitting on the right side. The women were shocked, but the angel said, "Don't be alarmed. You are looking for Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. HE isn't here! HE is risen from the dead! Look, this is where they laid His body."

Mark 16:2-6 NLT Bible

We serve a risen Saviour! When the women entered the tomb, it was empty. As prophesied, Jesus rose on the third day, triumphant over death. This is the Saviour we serve. He is not dead, but alive, and if we let Him, He will live forever in our hearts.

Thank you Lord for being my Saviour. You defeated death for me and now You intercede daily on my behalf. Because You live, Lord, I can face tomorrow. I love you, Jesus. Amen!

Be Blessed!

Isaiah 53:4-6 NKJV

4. Surely, He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows;
Yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted.
5. But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are healed.
6. All we like sheep have gone astray;
We have turned, everyone, to his own way;
And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.

1. Who has believed our report?
And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?
2. For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant,
And as a root out of dry ground. He has no form or comeliness;
And when we see Him, there is no beauty that we should desire Him.
3. He is despised and rejected by men,
A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief.
And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him;
He was despised, and we did not esteem Him.
