O God, You are my God; I earnestly search for You. My soul thirsts for You; my whole-body longs for You in this parched and weary land where there is no water.

Our relationship with God sets the tone for our life, and as believers, He must be our number one priority. For any relationship to thrive, flourish and grow, there must be a high level of commitment, devotion and a desire to spend time with that special person. It's the same way in our relationship with God. When we love God, we thirst for Him. Without Him, we feel spiritually dry and parched, and our thirst is only quenched as we seek Him and spend time in His Presence.

Our physical need for water is ongoing and so too, is our longing for God. We want more and more of Him each day. When God is the centre of our lives, we acknowledge Him as our Lord. He alone is able to fill the void within us, and we are lost without Him. We covet His Presence and yearn to be closer to Him. We know that without Him, life would be meaningless. God alone can satisfy our every need.

Thank you, Lord, for Your abiding presence. You are the only One that satisfies and my entire being longs for You. Lord, I am lost without You. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
