“But the angel said to her, “Do
not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God. You will conceive and give
birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus. He will be great and will be
called the Son of the Most High”.
Luke
1:30-32 NIV
Bible
The Christmas season is here again,
and many people are caught up in a whirlwind of related activities. A great
amount of time is spent on shopping, baking, attending parties and other
related events. However, this sometimes comes at the expense of focusing on the
true meaning of Christmas… the birth of Jesus. We need to embrace this message
of Christmas and build our celebrations and traditions around it.
Our Saviour was born in a lowly
manger, and this is what we celebrate.
It is also a time of love, peace and goodwill towards all men, but this
sometimes seem to be lost amid all these activities. We should also think of
those who are in need, lonely or hurting and let our actions reflect the kindness
and generosity that Christ would want us to show. We need to remember that
JESUS is the reason for this beautiful season and strive to honour Him in
everything we do.
Thank
you, Lord, for sending Your Son, Jesus!
May my heart, mind and actions reflect the true meaning of Christmas,
the birth of our Saviour! I love you, Jesus. Amen!
Be
Blessed!
Lydia
