Everyone strives for peace, but all too often it proves to be elusive. As children of God, we have the promise of peace at all times and in every situation. We may be experiencing circumstances that threaten and torment us. We are fearful, anxious and seem to be living on the edge. However, we don't have to be like that. In the midst of crises, if we would put our faith and trust in God, His peace can permeate our lives and fill us with hope and assurance. We may be experiencing difficulties in relationships, sickness, strife in our homes, impending layoffs at work and a myriad of difficult and trying circumstances, but we cannot let ourselves become prisoners to fear, worry and hopelessness.

We've all seen people radiate peace and serenity in the midst of stormy and overwhelming situations. This comes from the knowledge that God is in control, holding us in the palm of His hands and whatever the outcome, He will be with us. His peace is freely available to us at all times, but we need to trust and obey Him. There is no place for worry, fear and doubt when we have peace in our hearts. 

Thank you, Lord, for Your peace. I'm in the midst of a difficult situation, but I have peace in my heart because of you. I put my trust and faith in you, and I know that whatever the outcome, You are with me. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
