Hate what is wrong. Hold tightly to what is good.

Romans 12:9 NLT Bible

These are words that everyone should live by. As children of God, we are to hate the things that are wrong and displeasing to Him and cling tenaciously to all that is good and pure. The Word of God is our standard for holy and righteous living, and we need to make every effort to adhere to the precepts and principles outlined in it.

We live in an age where our values and beliefs are being challenged by new ideologies and lifestyles, and many people are 'tweaking' God's Word to fit in with these changes. We must hold tightly to all that is good and noble and hate anything that is evil. We cannot compromise our beliefs and dabble in things that are displeasing to God. Our love for God must propel us to obey and honour Him.

Thank you, Lord, for your Word. It is my guide for living a holy and obedient life. Help me to cling to all that is good and to hate the very appearance of evil. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
