For God has said, " I will never fail you. I will never abandon you."

Hebrews 13:5 NLT Bible

We've all experienced times when we wondered if God has abandoned us. We feel empty, lost and alone. We may be in the throes of a crisis, a breakup in a relationship, dealing with a terminal illness or grieving over the loss of a loved one. Despair grips us and we are so consumed with the problem, that we take our eyes off Jesus. We lose our focus, feel disconnected and alienated, loneliness envelops us, and God seems far away.

We don't need to feel forsaken because God is right beside us. He has promised to never fail nor abandon us. All we need to do is look up and reach out to Him. As we look beyond our distractions and problems and call out to Him, peace fills our souls in the midst of the turmoil, and we have the assurance that there's a light at the end of the tunnel. 

Thank you, Lord, for always being with me. I feel lost, alone and consumed with the problems in my life, but I know that You are with me and will never leave me. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
