The Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you; The Lord lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace.

What a wonderful promise! Growing up, most ministers usually gave this benediction at the end of the service. For many, it was the time to collect their belongings to head home and for others it signalled the time to enjoy a delicious lunch. We probably all regarded it in that manner and did not give it the attention it deserved. This, in actuality, is a precious blessing from Almighty God for His children and we need to receive it with thankful hearts, filled with praise and gratitude and allow it to permeate our hearts and minds.

This is a blessing that we need in everything we do. We are promised God's protection. He will keep us safe from all harm and danger. His face is shining on us with His grace and favour and we can do anything because of this. He is giving us His perfect peace that will keep us steadfast in the midst of any circumstance. We should never take this precious blessing for granted. As believers, we have the authority to speak this over every member of our family, our relatives and friends, proclaiming God's special blessing on their lives.......a blessing that fills us with hope and assurance that God is watching over us and wants to bless us with every good thing. 

Thank you, Lord, for blessing me. I am so thankful that You are always watching over me and keeping me. Lord Jesus, thank You for Your favour and Your peace. You bless me with every good thing and because of this I can face each day with hope and confidence. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
