All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It convicts us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.

2 Timothy 3:16 NLT Bible

When we need to learn about any given subject, we usually find the best sources and spend quality time ingesting all the information we can. Similarly, as children of God, we have been provided with a handbook for living righteous and holy lives and it's up to us to meditate on the truths found in the Word of God. When we do, we are better equipped to make right decisions and live pleasing and holy lives.

The Word of God teaches us what is right and wrong. It rebukes, corrects, encourages, uplifts, edifies and convicts us. Every Word is inspired by God, and we cannot pick and choose what we like and discard those we don't. If we do, our values become blurred and we can find ourselves on a slippery slope of compromise and ultimately, wrongdoing. The Bible is God's gift to us and as we immerse ourselves in it, we are empowered to do what's right in the sight of God.

Thank you, Lord, for Your Word. Help me to develop a love for Your truths and to always use it as my guide for living. Give me wisdom to understand as I read and help me to stay on the right path. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
