Oh, that we might know the Lord! Let us press on to know Him. He will respond to us as surely as the arrival of dawn or the coming of rains in early spring.

There are many people who know of God, but don't really know Him. To know God is to love, honour and obey Him. We yearn to be in His presence and to draw closer and closer to Him each day. So many times, we fill our days with trivial pursuits and meaningless activities when that time could be invested in nurturing our relationship with God.

God is our closest Friend, the One who will never leave us. We can share our innermost thoughts and concerns with Him and as surely as dawn arrives each day, God's answer is guaranteed. Life can be difficult at times but knowing God and being in an ongoing and intimate relationship with Him fills us with hope, courage and strength. Knowing God should be the desire of every child of God and the key to it, is a daily commitment to pray, worship and meditate on His Word.

Thank you, Lord, for loving me. I worship and adore you. My desire is to know you, to draw closer and closer to you and be in an intimate and lasting relationship with you. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
