Not everyone will like us, and many people will dislike us for various reasons. We may rub them the wrong way, we may not conform to their way of living, or they may dislike us for simply being different. As followers of God, our business is simply to live a life that's pleasing to God. When we do this, God's favour surrounds us, and we gain the respect and admiration of those people who dislike us. Everything we say and do should bring honour and glory to God. This means we treat everyone with respect, dignity and kindness, regardless of social or cultural differences. We pray for them and ask God to bless and protect them. 

To live in a manner that pleases God, means that we never compromise our beliefs, and we always stand up for what we know to be good, noble and right. Some people may be extremely difficult to get along with, but somehow, when we make conscious and deliberate decisions to honour God with our lives, we wind up gaining their respect and admiration. They may give it grudgingly, but do it anyway, because they are affected by our godly behaviour. It may be difficult at times, but we must purpose to please God in all we say and do, in whatever situation or circumstance we find ourselves in. When we do this, we can live in peace with everyone.

Thank you, Lord for Your favour, in my life. My desire is to please you in all I say and do, to stand up for my beliefs and to treat everyone with respect, dignity, compassion and kindness. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
