𝐒𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫

“But anyone who hears My teaching and doesn't obey it is foolish, like a person who builds a house on sand. When the rains and floods come and the winds beat against that house, it will collapse with a mighty crash."

Matthew 7:26-27 NLT Bible

In these verses, Jesus draws a parallel to someone listening to His teaching and not obeying it, to a foolish person building a house on sand. When the rains, floods and winds come, the house collapses. Today, many believers are reading God's Word, professing to love Him and yet, they are building their lives on a foundation that lacks the teachings and principles of Almighty God.

Sadly, when the inevitable storms and challenges of life hit, chaos ensues and their world comes crashing down, because their foundation is shaky and not centred on God. The truth is, life is not always smooth sailing, but building on a solid foundation where God is at the centre of everything, equips us to weather the storms of life and be victorious. We need to pause and assess our situation. If our foundation seems shaky, the time is now to switch gears and build our lives on Christ, the Solid Rock.

Thank you, Lord, for being my Rock. Help me to be wise, to listen to Your teaching and obey it. I want to centre my life around You and build on a firm foundation. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
