Jesus replied, "I am the Bread of Life. Whoever comes to Me will never be hungry again. Whoever believes in Me will never be thirsty."

We can have every material thing that life has to offer, but without Jesus, our lives are empty. So many people invest all their time and energy into accumulating things, building lucrative careers, 'having fun' and oftentimes neglect what really matters in life.…...knowing Jesus as Saviour and Lord. All around us, we see so many who seemingly appear to have all that anyone could ask for, but yet, they are always so sad and unhappy. If only they can recognize that Jesus is the answer, the only One who can fill the void in their lives and satisfy that inner yearning and hunger.

In the same way that we need food to sustain our physical bodies, we need Jesus to sustain us spiritually and to satisfy our souls. When we have Him, the Bread of Life, living in our hearts, we are complete because we have found what we've been searching for, what's missing in our lives. In this verse, Jesus himself is saying that He alone can satisfy us. All we need to do is simply come to Him with childlike faith and ask Him to forgive us of our sins and live in our hearts. Jesus is the Bread of Life and He satisfies the spiritual hunger of all who believe in Him. Our lives take on a new meaning and we are changed forever more.

Thank you, Lord, that You are the Bread of Life. I recognize that I need You to fill this void in my life. You alone can satisfy my soul. Without You, everything is meaningless. I rededicate my life to You, Lord. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
