We all live in hope and expectancy for the future. Some people place their hope in friends, riches and other material things, only to be disappointed when people fail them, and material things are gone. Hope is the abiding trust we have in Jesus and is vital in our lives! As children of God, our hope must be in Him. He is our Rock and Shield. When we place our hope in God, we have the assurance that He will always be with us and will never leave nor forsake us. 

Hope in God sustains us during times of trials and difficulties and fills us with peace, joy and the promise of a better tomorrow. Hope comforts and strengthens us and takes away despair and despondency. It gives us the will to persevere, to endure and to press on. As believers, we have the hope and promise of eternal life with Jesus. Our hope in God keeps us loyal, steadfast and faithful as we face what each day brings and above all, as we anticipate eternity with our Saviour. Some of us might be experiencing trials, but we should never give up. We need to keep hope alive in our hearts and minds and keep on trusting God because He is faithful and is the Source of our hope.

Thank You Lord for being my hope! I don't know what tomorrow may bring, but I can face it because of the hope I have in You. It's the hope that You alone can give. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
