I will thank The Lord with all my heart.......How amazing are the deeds of The Lord! All who delight in Him should ponder them.

Psalm 111:1-2 NLT Bible

So often we come to God with our requests, asking Him for all the things we need and neglect to thank Him for His faithfulness and goodness and all that He has done for us. Sometimes we just need to make a habit of simply coming to Him with hearts of gratitude and thanksgiving, without asking for anything. There's so much that we can thank God for. All around us, there's evidence of the splendour and majesty of God. In fact, nature abounds with things to thank Him for...... the stars, moon, rivers, waterfalls, a beautiful sunrise. We need to thank God for His goodness, love, faithfulness, protection, guidance and compassion. 

We can also thank God for His Word that's filled with promises and guidelines for living pleasing and obedient lives. On a personal note, we need to recall all that He has done for us and thank Him for it. God deserves our praise for the privilege He has given us of being able to open our eyes in the morning, to breathe, for good health, our family and friends, for watching over us and guiding us. Most of all, we need to thank God for His Son, for sending Him into the world to die for our sins. Our God is an awesome and amazing God and we have so much to thank Him for.

Thank you, Lord for Your goodness and faithfulness. Thank you for the privilege of being able to get up each day and for leading and guiding me. Lord, You are kind, compassionate and love me in spite of all my flaws and shortcomings. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
