Many of us have been around people who live day after day defeated, dejected, disappointed and depressed believing that they are failures, that life is tough, filled with too much pain and sorrow and that nothing good ever happens for them. They continue to live in this state, simply settling for a mediocre life.  This is not God's will for us. He came to give us a rich and satisfying life and we need to appropriate this promise and make every effort to live each day in victory, not allowing anything or anyone to rob us of God's best.

We will always encounter problems and difficulties, but this should never deter us from living the abundant life that God has promised. How do we get this satisfying life He wants us to have? We first need to totally surrender our lives to Him, trusting Him to work everything out as we continue to live for Him. We must also stand firm in our faith with complete reliance on God. If we sometimes feel defeated, spending time in worship and praise and ministering to someone in need will help to lift our spirits and give us the freedom to enjoy the life God has blessed us with. In Jesus alone, we find peace, joy, contentment and abundant blessings.

Thank you, Lord for Your promise of abundant life. Help me to never let anything or anyone steal or destroy my relationship with you. Lord, I don't want to live in a defeated state. I want to enjoy the rich and satisfying life You have for me. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
