"Lord, remind me how brief my time on earth will be. Remind me that my days are numbered - how fleeting my life is."

Life is unpredictable. Our time on earth is fleeting. We have no control over that aspect of our lives, yet sadly enough, so many behave as if they do. When urged to give their lives to God, to obey and serve Him, many behave as if they have all the time in the world to do that, operating with a ' tomorrow' mentality. The mindset is to enjoy life now, do whatever pleases them and later on there'll be time enough to serve God. However, this is not always the case.

We know of so many who’ve passed away suddenly, in the twinkling of an eye and oftentimes, we wonder and hope that they knew Jesus as Saviour and Lord. We need to recognize that our days on this earth are numbered. We don't know when anything can happen, and we must be prepared. We have to live each moment of every day as if it is our last and make it count for God. We must live wisely, love deeply, serve God diligently. We have no guarantee of tomorrow, and the best thing we can do while we are here on earth is to love and serve God with all our hearts and souls and be prepared, should He call us home. A life without God is a life without hope.

Thank you, Lord, for the hope I have in You. Help me to live each moment of every day for You, to make my life count, to love and serve You, and to be a witness and example to others. My desire is to live with you forever. I love you Jesus. Amen!
