This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone, and a new life has begun!

2 Corinthians 5:17 NLT Bible

When we belong to Christ, our lives change. We are now new people with new attitudes, thinking and acting differently. Prior to accepting Jesus as our Saviour and Lord, our behaviour was driven by our fleshly desires, but now God is in control and if we surrender to His will and plan for us, then our lifestyle changes. The things we once did, we do no more. We're no longer floundering aimlessly giving in to every fleshly desire. Our primary goal is now to live for God, to honour and glorify Him in all we say and do.

It's not easy as the devil will always be trying to lure us back into our old life, but as we surrender our bad habits, addictions, negative thoughts and anything else that may hinder our new life to God, change happens. As we immerse ourselves in the things of God, through fellowship and meditation on His Word, it becomes easier, with each new day, to live a life of purpose, all for the glory of God.

Thank you, Lord, for saving my soul. I am now a new person because of you. My old life is gone, and I'm determined to live for you. I surrender everything in my past that's displeasing to you and with Your help and guidance I purpose to honour and glorify you. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
