It is better to trust in The Lord than to put confidence in man.
Psalm 118:8 NKJ Bible
We all have friends whom we trust implicitly. We confide in them, seek their advice and rely on them in times of difficulties. However, people are flawed and without warning, relationships between friends can change and we are left dejected and disappointed. Our trust needs to be in Almighty God. His ears are always attentive to our prayers, and He has promised to never leave us nor forsake us. This does not mean that we should not trust people, but we ought to be mindful that they are just human and can betray us and turn away from us when we really need them.
There are many who trust in God, but when things get difficult, they
turn away and look to people instead. However, when we put our confidence in
people, worry, fear, doubt and anxiety remain. Trusting in God removes this. We
need to acknowledge that people change, but God does not change. He is the same
yesterday, today and forever. People can be unfaithful and stop loving us but
God is faithful and He loves us with an everlasting love. When we trust in Him,
we find peace, solace, safety, guidance and all the help we need to face
whatever comes our way.
I thank you Lord that You have promised to never leave me nor forsake
me. I trust in You, Lord Jesus. In You alone, I find the peace, courage,
strength and direction that I need to face whatever life brings me. I love you
Jesus. Amen!
Be Blessed!
