For God is not a God of disorder, but of peace.

1 Corinthians 14:33 NLT Bible

Many of us have been in places where total chaos and disorder ruled, and peace and order were lacking. It could be anywhere....at home, at work, at school or even at church. As this verse tells us, God is not a God of disorder, but of peace. Too many people are finding themselves in the midst of strife, confusion and tension and then wonder why things aren't working out as planned. Disorder leads to stress, anger, rage and ultimately unhappiness and God cannot dwell in the midst of such confusion.

For peace to reign, God must be at the centre of everything. We have to relinquish control to Him, handing over the tiniest detail of every circumstance to Him. When we try to do things our way, we are really setting the stage for things to go amiss. Peace and tranquility involves trust and submission in Almighty God. We do this by starting each day with God, asking for His wisdom and guidance to get through the day and then surrendering every negative emotion to Him. When we allow God to have His way, confusion and disorder disappear and even if stressful situations arise, we can deal with it in a peaceful and calm manner because God is in control.

Thank you Lord for Your peace! I want my life to be filled with peace and tranquility, not chaos and confusion. You are a God of peace, not of disorder  and I pray for Your wisdom and guidance to have a life that is filled with purpose and order. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
