𝐒𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫

We urge you to warn those who are lazy. Encourage those who are timid. Take tender care of those who are weak. Be patient with everyone.

1 Thessalonians 5:14 NLT Bible

We all know people who fall into one of the categories listed in this verse, and as children of God, we have the responsibility to do what we can to help and support them. Our walk with God is not passive. We are called to action and this involves caring and ministering to the needs of those around us. Some people may seem lazy, but sometimes all that is needed is motivation, encouragement and a nudge in the right direction. In the same way, timid people are shy and fearful, afraid to step out and realize their dreams. They may have been previously cast aside and now have simply retreated into themselves and life seems to be passing them by. Our duty is to praise them and speak positive words of kindness and affirmation.

We are also called to reach out to the weak and hurting, to always be available to walk alongside them and offer support. God wants us to show love, kindness and compassion as we reach out to those who are bent under the weight of their bruised emotions and struggles. It requires patience on our part, but with help from Almighty God, we can make a difference in the lives of those around us.

Thank you Lord for calling me Your child! Help me to reach out to those who are hurting, in need of strength, timid or those who need a friend to help them navigate through the challenges of life. Let me be patient, kind and compassionate. I love you Jesus. Amen!
