When the storms of life come, the wicked are whirled away, but the godly have a lasting foundation.

Storms hit us when we least expect it and can shatter us emotionally, physically and spiritually. Thankfully, as believers, we have an anchor and foundation in Almighty God! No matter what we're going through, He is our sure and lasting foundation, but we must remain rooted and anchored in Him to avoid succumbing to the 'winds and waves' swirling around us. As we have all witnessed at one time or another, storms can be devastating, tearing down everything in its path. We may wobble, be unsteady and even be knocked down at times, but if we cling to God, we will not be moved.

Many of us may be in the midst of a personal storm. At times it seems hopeless and we can't think clearly. However, when we have an ongoing relationship with God, we have the assurance of His protection, preservation and provision. We don't have to go through the hopelessness experienced by those who don't know Him. The storms of life cannot thwart God's plan for our lives. As His children, our feet can remain firmly planted, but we must do our part and be continually seeking and worshipping Him. God alone is the answer to anything we face. He is our Anchor, Rock and Foundation!

Thank you Lord for being my Anchor! Help me to remain rooted and anchored in You. I know that when the storms of life come, my hope and faith is securely rooted in You and nothing can harm me. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
