Search for peace and work to maintain it.

Psalm 34:14 NLT Bible

We can never be reminded enough of the need for peace. We need to have peace at home with our loved ones, at work with our peers, with our neighbours and then we all need peace within ourselves. Peace is needed among all people regardless of social, religious or cultural beliefs. God wants us to live in peace and unity at all times and it's within our grasp when we look to Him, the Source of true peace. As we celebrate the birth of Jesus and remember our Saviour being born in a manger, love should fill our hearts and propel us to embrace the message of peace and goodwill toward all men.

As children of God, we should strive to live in peace with everyone. We are all unique, with different beliefs and lifestyles, but that should never hinder us from living peaceably with each other. If nations can embrace this truth, peace would be possible. Christmas is the perfect time to allow the peace of God to fill our hearts and minds. When we do this, we can have peace regardless of the turmoil and chaos around us.

Thank you Lord for Your perfect peace. I pray that I will have Your peace within my heart, which will enable me to live in peace with those around me. Help me to have a peaceful and gentle spirit and to always work to maintain peace. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
