"And why worry about a speck in your friend's eye when you have a log in your own?"

Matthew 7:3 NLT Bible

So many times we find ourselves concerned with the faults of others and we completely ignore our own imperfections, which can sometimes be greater than what we obsess about in someone else. We are all flawed and we first need to examine ourselves and work on our shortcomings before looking at what's wrong with our neighbour. It's the only way we can minister effectively.

Sometimes the things that we are so quick to point out in someone can be exactly what we are struggling with. Of course, we can be concerned about something that's amiss in another person's life, but God is the ultimate judge. We are simply called to pray for that person, show love, kindness and compassion and leave the change to God. When we condemn and pull others down, we're actually failing to show the love and compassion of God. We need to take our focus off their faults and concentrate on all the good we can see in them. When we do that, it opens the door for us to help them with some of the issues in their lives.

Thank You Lord for loving me just as I am. Help me to view others through eyes of love and compassion and refrain from passing judgement. Purify and cleanse my heart. I love you, Jesus. Amen!

Be Blessed!

Lydia
