Therefore, accept each
other just as Christ accepted you, so that God will be given glory.
Romans 15:7 NLT Bible
When
we came to Jesus, He accepted us with all our flaws and weaknesses and in the
same way, we are to accept each other. We are all different, coming from
different backgrounds and diverse cultures. As children of God, we need to
recognize that we are not all the same. Just imagine what a boring world it
would be if we were all alike. So many times, we set out trying to change
people, to fit them into a mould of who or what we think they should be. Our
duty is just to accept them and if change has to take place, pray for them and
leave it to God.
Accepting
someone does not mean that we engage in activities that are not in agreement
with the Word of God. It simply means that we are willing to see them for who
they are and this allows us to have a heart filled with love and compassion for
them. We are all flawed and are not called to condemn or belittle others. All
we need to do is pray for them, let our lives be a living testimony for Jesus
and love and accept them. This gives glory to Almighty God!
Thank
you Lord for loving and accepting me just as I am. Help me to accept others in
the same way. Let me treat everyone with the love and respect they deserve. I
give You all the glory. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
Be
Blessed!
Lydia
