Many people are prone to being judgemental without really knowing the reason for someone’s behaviour. In fact, this is a way of life for many. They invest so much time in criticizing and condemning others for their actions........time that could actually be utilized in helping to bring about change and to understand the motive behind someone's behaviour. Oftentimes, people may do things that are deemed to be wrong, but it may be out of sheer necessity, lack of right and wrong or simply because it's all they know.

Our duty as children of God is to refrain from being judgemental, to show love, mercy and compassion and to do whatever we can to effect change. Many times, the only way to understand why people do the things they do is to 'walk in their shoes'. If we are prone to judging and criticizing, we must ask God to cleanse and rid us of that spirit of condemnation and fill us with His grace and empathy. We should be mindful of the fact that we are all imperfect and flawed, sometimes doing things that are displeasing to God and should extend the same mercy and grace to others that He shows to us.

Thank you Lord for Your compassion! Many times, I do things that are displeasing to you, but You show me mercy, love and grace. Help me to never judge or condemn others, but to look beneath the surface to find the reason for their actions and be instrumental in bringing about change. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
