SUNDAY INSPIRATION and PRAYER

For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 6:23 NLT Bible

This verse speaks to the spiritual death that happens when someone refuses to acknowledge and accept Jesus as Lord and Saviour of their lives. God sent His Son into the world to die for our sins and because of that, we simply have to invite Jesus into our hearts, repent of our sins and then we are guaranteed eternal life with Him. It's a free gift that cannot be bought. All it takes is coming to Jesus in our broken and sinful state and allowing Him to cleanse and purify us. 

When this happens, life takes on new meaning. Things that were once important now fade into the background. We relinquish our old habits and lifestyles and begin to live as God would want us to. We forge a new and lasting relationship with Him, one that goes beyond physical death. Now, we have this wonderful promise of eternity with the One who loves us and died for us and with it, also comes the responsibility to share the Good News of Jesus with everyone we meet. Salvation and the gift of eternity with God is intended for all people and as believers, we have the mandate to propagate this wonderful message to everyone who crosses our path. 

Thank you Lord for dying for me! Forgive me of my sins, cleanse and purify me. Give me the strength and courage to never go back to my old lifestyle. Help me to live a life that's pleasing to you. Thank you for the promise of eternal life. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
