God has singled fathers out to be the ones to train their children to love, honour and obey Him. This is both a privilege and a responsibility that fathers need to take seriously. The beliefs and values that are instilled in children will shape the course of their lives and fathers need to teach them the truths of God's Word and be examples of godly and righteous living. Children are like sponges, soaking up everything, so every word and action must be censored and line up with the Word of God.

There are many people vying for the attention of our children and if they are not grounded in their faith, they will easily succumb to pressure from outside elements. Fathers need to set the tone in the home, ensuring that it's a place filled with love, laughter, acceptance and respect for each other, but above all, a home in which God is loved, honoured and obeyed.

Thank you Lord for fathers everywhere. Fill them with Your strength and wisdom and help them to lead godly lives and be role models for their children, teaching them to love, honour and obey You. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
