The godly walk with integrity; blessed are their children who follow them.

Proverbs 20:7 NLT Bible

As mothers, we are entrusted with the awesome responsibility of loving, caring and nurturing our children. It runs the gamut from wiping runny noses, cleaning scrapes and bruises, helping with homework, dealing with sibling rivalry to comforting broken hearts. We cheer our children on, celebrate their successes, encourage their individuality and also discipline them, BUT our greatest job is to bring them up to respect, fear, obey and honour Almighty God.

As godly mothers, we must walk with integrity! Our lives become an open book. Our children observe our actions, listen to the way we speak and pay attention to the way we treat others…....our friends, relatives, neighbours, servers at restaurants, cashiers at the grocery store and others we interact with on a daily basis. Everything we say and do must match the beliefs and values we try to instil in them. This is a responsibility we must take seriously because our behaviour impacts their actions. It can be challenging at times, but we must strive to be godly mothers and be examples of goodness and righteousness.

 

Thank you Lord for my children! Help me to be a godly mother, to bring my children up to fear, honour and obey You and may my life be an example of godliness and righteousness. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
