SUNDAY INSPIRATION and PRAYER

“So now I
am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you
should love each other.”
John 13:34
NLT
Bible
Tomorrow, millions of people everywhere will be celebrating
Valentine’s Day by showing their loved ones how deeply they care. On this day,
people are happier, kinder and more loving. While this is good, this love
should be visible every single day all through the year. God has commanded us
to love each other just as He loves us! It’s important to note that this is not
a request, but rather a command. However, at any given time, this proves to be
somewhat difficult for so many.
It’s easy
to love some people. They are the ones who are easygoing, pleasant, kind,
caring and giving, so we don’t have a problem loving them. What’s difficult is
loving those who are rude, sullen, grumpy, loud and different. We cannot pick
and choose those we should love as we are just called to love everyone. We
don’t have to agree with people to love them! We just love them freely and
unconditionally, showing God’s love in tangible ways, expecting nothing in
return. Love is contagious and after awhile, even the grumpiest and most
difficult people respond to it in positive ways. When we love God, we love each
other!
Thank you Lord for Your unconditional love. Help me to love others
as You love, without judgement or condemnation. Let me also show love in
tangible ways and may Your love be reflected in all my actions. I love you,
Jesus. Amen!
Be Blessed!
Lydia
