Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep His promise.

This year is quickly drawing to a close and so many people, both believers and non-believers alike seem to be feeling hopeless. There’s no denying that this year has been challenging and quite daunting and it continues to be so, but we have to keep hope alive within us. As children of God, we have an undeniable hope in Jesus! He alone is our reason for moving forward. 

If we profess to love and trust God implicitly and to affirm the hope we have in Him, it’s only reasonable to expect that we have to trust Him to keep His promises. God has promised to preserve, protect and provide for us and to continually watch over us. He has also promised to strengthen us, to care for us, to meet our every need and the list goes on and on. We’ve got to hold on to the hope we have in Him regardless of how difficult life is. We simply can’t give up. We have to hold tightly without wavering to the hope we declare. Our actions must match our words. One thing we can be sure of is that God can be trusted to keep His promises!

Thank you Lord for the hope I have in you. This year has been quite challenging, but come what may, I purpose to hold unswervingly to the hope I profess in You. I know You are faithful and will honour Your promises. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
