Bible Verse for November 21st.

This is what the Lord says: “Stop at the crossroads and look around. Ask for the old, godly way, and walk in it”

Jeremiah 6:16

Many of us have arrived at a crossroad in our lives. We’re looking around, trying to decide which way we should go and we’re perplexed, in a quandary and in dire need of direction and guidance. As we glance around, there’s a wide road that appears to be well travelled with lots of people who seem to be having a good time. For some of us, it’s the road we’ve been on for a long time, but we’ve gotten nowhere. Peace and joy are still eluding us and problems abound. We look the other way and there’s a narrow, winding road with just few folks trudging along. What do we do?

When we’re at this crossroad, we must recognize that any decision we make will ultimately impact our future and our eternity. We need to seek God, study His Word and get godly counsel. When we do, the answer becomes crystal clear. We belong on the narrow road, because it’s the godly road. It’s not going to be easy! In fact, it’s the road less travelled and it’s one that will require discipline, perseverance and determination. However, it’s the path that will ultimately lead us to an eternity with Almighty God. He’s going to be with us all the way because He’s promised to never leave us nor forsake us and that’s a promise we need to hold on to. 

Thank you Lord for Your guidance and direction. God, I’m at a crossroad in my life and I don’t know what to do or which way to turn, but I surrender my life to You. Lead me on the right path. It’s where I want to be. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
