Bible Verse for November 14th.

I lie awake thinking of you, meditating on You through the night.

Psalms 63:6 NLT Bible

Many of us go to bed at nights with minds that are cluttered with any number of thoughts. We think about our loved ones, finances, the pandemic, tomorrow’s schedule and all these thoughts and much more just keep swirling around in our minds. As children of God, our thoughts should always be about Him and His faithfulness, guidance, protection, goodness, mercy and His undying love for us.  How wonderful it is to drift off to sleep, while meditating on the goodness of God.

For some of us, there may be times when sleep eludes us because of physical and emotional problems. We lie awake feeling isolated and alone and long for dawn to break. This is when we need to praise and worship God, to take our eyes off our circumstances and focus on His goodness. In the still of the night, when all is quiet, God’s presence is so real and we are drawn into a closer and more intimate relationship with Him. This is what David experienced in the wilderness. Even though he longed for morning to come, he treasured the intimacy he shared with God during the night. We need to keep our hearts and minds on Jesus all through the day and night. Intimacy with Him is a treasure we should covet!

Thank you Lord for Your goodness. I lie awake and my mind is filled with thoughts of You. You are my Rock, my Fortress, my Shield and my Deliverer. I love you, Jesus. Amen!

Be Blessed!

Lydia
