Bible Verse for November 7th.

As for me, I look to the Lord for help. I wait confidently for God to save me, and my God will certainly hear me.

As we journey through life, we all need help and guidance, but so many people are finding it in all the wrong places and end up making a mess of their lives in the process. When faced with a crisis, some turn to friends, but sometimes their well-intentioned advice makes the situation worse. Still others go to psychics or engage in the worship of idols, certain that they will get the answers to their problems, but that doesn’t happen either. It’s ironic, but so many people cry out to God for help as a last resort, after everything else has failed. 

As children of God, we need to know that our help comes from Him. He alone is able to give us wisdom, direction and guidance and bring the right people across our paths to help us. We don’t have to look to anyone or anything for help. God is our Keeper, Deliverer, Protector, Shepherd, Provider and much more. This does not mean that we live in isolation, as if we don’t need anyone, but we must be mindful that our dependence is on God. He’s the only One who is able to save, hear and answer us! With help from God, we are able to have comfort, peace, security and strength. 

Thank you Lord for Your help. I purpose to never look to anyone for help, but to always lift my eyes up to You for guidance and direction. Help me to never be swayed by wrong advice. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
