Bible Verse for October 24th.

O Lord, you alone are my hope. I’ve trusted you, O Lord, from childhood.

Psalms 71:5 NLT Bible 

So many people go through life aimlessly, with no hope and purpose. They wake up each morning and simply go through the motions, while feeling empty on the inside. We can hope for many things like a good job, marriage, financial stability, but these are all things that can crumble and fail us. We have no guarantee that they will last, but if we trust in God and recognize the He alone is our hope, our lives can suddenly take on new meaning. He fills the void, makes a difference and brings us hope and peace to face every challenge that comes our way.

Knowing Jesus means we have hope and as His children, we can keep hope alive through prayer and continually meditating on His goodness. God is faithful and we can count on His promises! Today, we may be facing situations that seem insurmountable, dealing with sickness, bad relationships, financial problems and much more, but our hope in God is the anchor that keeps us trusting and believing that brighter days are ahead. Our hope in Him removes fear, worry and doubt that can consume and overwhelm us and allows us to rest in the quiet assurance that He is in control and will never leave us. We must cling to that hope that comes from God alone and always remain anchored to Him. 

Thank you Lord for being my hope. You are the anchor in my life and because of You, my life has purpose and meaning. My hope is in You alone, Lord and I trust in You! I thank you because I know that better and brighter days are ahead. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
