Bible Verse for October 17th.

 

The Lord keeps you from all harm and watches over your life. The Lord keeps watch over you as you come and go, both now and forever.

Psalms 121:7-8

What an awesome promise from God! He has promised to keep us from all harm and to watch over our lives. Especially now, with everything that’s occurring worldwide, people feel powerless, despondent, afraid and defeated. They are wary when going out and are even nervous at home. As children of God, we don’t have to feel this way. We can go about our daily activities and not be worried and scared because God is watching over us. He is with us when we’re at home, at work, at school, on the bus, when we’re driving or in a crowded mall. He is with us everywhere and at all times. He is always at our side!

We can close our eyes at night and sleep peacefully because God is protecting us. He keeps us safe from things, people and situations that can potentially harm us. As believers, we also need to let our children know that God is with them, keeping them safe from harm and danger. We have to lift our eyes to God and acknowledge that our help comes from Him alone. We need to obey, trust and believe in Him. He is our great God who loves us so much that He never leaves us unprotected, but watches over us both now and forever. That’s His promise to us!

 

Thank you Lord for Your protection. My help comes from You alone and I don’t need to be afraid because You are watching over me and keeping me safe. I know that You are always with me wherever I am. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
