The Lord helps the fallen and lifts those bent beneath their loads.
Psalms 145:14
NLT Bible
All around us, there are many people who are bent low beneath the many things they are experiencing. It could be sickness, dwindling finances, wayward children, grief, loneliness and so much more. These feelings of despair are magnified even more at this time because of the unabating global pandemic. However, as believers, no matter what we face, we serve a great and compassionate God who will never leave us in that bent and fallen state. God will lift us up and fill us with the strength and courage needed to set us on the road to recovery. God loves us so much and will not allow us to be engulfed and swallowed up by our cares and burdens. It is never His will to see us live in a defeated and fallen state. God desires to see us live victorious lives of love and service to Him.
We must do our part and keep the faith, trusting God to lift us up. This means that no matter how tough things get or how much we feel like giving in and cowering under it all, we have to look to God and keep our eyes on Him alone. He is the only One who can lift us up. Even in our bent and fallen state, we need to be aware of how God wants to see us restored, happy and whole. His hand is always outstretched and all we need to do is to grab hold of it and never let go. As His children, we also have a duty to lift others up who are bowed down by the weight of their burdens. We may not always know what to say, but we can be available to listen, support and encourage. We must always remember that our hope is in Jesus and because of that we must never give up.
Thank you Lord for lifting me up. Sometimes, I feel like I'm drowning under this heavy weight that I'm carrying, but I cling to You. I remember Your promise to lift me up. I love you! Jesus. Amen!
Be Blessed!
Lydia
