Bible Verse for March 7th.

But the jar he (the potter) was making did not turn out as he had hoped, so he crushed it into a lump of clay again and started over.

‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭18:4‬ ‭
NLT‬‬ Bible

It's interesting to watch a potter at work. He sits at the wheel with a lump of nondescript clay, but with a clear vision of what he wants to create. He then begins the process of shaping and moulding to make his creation come alive. Sometimes, it doesn't turn out as he envisioned, but he doesn't give up. He lumps the clay together and begins again to painstakingly create something that's both beautiful and usable.

This highlights an amazing parallel to God as the Potter and we, His children, as the clay. He never gives up on us. We may see ourselves as being marred and blemished, but that is not how He views us. God sees our full potential and He takes our mistakes, failures and broken dreams and lovingly moulds us into all that He wants us to be. However, we need to be willing and active participants in this process and allow God to work on us. It might be intense and painful at times, but the end result is worth it all.

Thank you Lord for moulding me. You are the Potter and I am the clay. I surrender all my failures and shattered dreams to You. Mould me to be all that You want me to be. I love you, Jesus. Amen!

Be Blessed!
Lydia
