Bible Verse for December 6th.

And she (Mary) will have a son, and you are to name Him Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.

Matthew 1:21
NLT Bible

The Christmas season is here again, and this year we are faced with new and challenging circumstances as we try to navigate a 'new normal' around a global pandemic. As difficult as it may be, we should not allow ourselves to become forlorn and despondent, but instead focus on the simple pleasures of the Christmas season and above all reflect on its real meaning.......the birth of Jesus.

The verse tells it all. The angel appeared to Joseph and told him that Mary would have a son and He would be named Jesus and He would save His people from their sins. This is what Christmas is all about. Because of Jesus, we have eternal life and hence the reason why Christmas is so important. There's no denying that it will be different this year. Families may not be able to visit each other, financial constraints might make it difficult to spend as we normally would and many would be grieving the loss of loved ones. Even though the usual trimmings and festivities of Christmas might be noticeably absent this year, we can make this a special year by zeroing in on the fact that Jesus is the reason for the season.

Thank you Lord for sending Your Son, Jesus. I pray that in the midst of the Christmas season, I will always remember that the real meaning of Christmas is the birth of my Saviour. I love you, Jesus. Amen!

Be Blessed!
Lydia
