Bless the LORD, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits.
Psalms 103:2
NKJ Bible
How many of us take the time to reflect on all the awesome benefits that God has freely given us? This verse tells us that we are to bless the Lord and never forget the good things He does for us. To bless God is to extol and praise Him. Oftentimes, we are guilty of moaning and complaining about things in our lives, when in actuality, we should be praising God.
This Psalm tells us that God is our Healer, that He envelops us with His loving kindness and tender mercies, is gracious, slow to anger and is righteous. These are promises from God that should cause us to be continually thankful and joyful. When we get up in the morning, instead of focusing on our aches and pains or having to juggle work and the demands of our family, we need to count our blessings and thank God for who He is and all His many benefits. The NLT( New Living Translation) Bible says that we are to praise the Lord and never forget the good things He has done for us. At one point or another, things may be amiss in our lives, but if we remember how great God is and think about all He's done for us in the past, we can rest assured that He will take care of us today and in the future. As we focus on the benefits of God, our spirits are lifted and problems fade.
Thank you Lord for Your many benefits. I praise and thank You for all You've done for me. When I'm tempted to complain, may I always remember Your goodness and faithfulness. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
Be Blessed!
Lydia
