Many people are feeling bogged down by worries and concerns about the people in their lives and all the things that are occurring around them. This is a reality for so many, especially at this time during a global pandemic that doesn’t seem to be letting up. We find ourselves worrying about our children, aging parents, our health, fears about a loved one contracting the virus, the economy and the list goes on and on. Worrying about all these things solves absolutely nothing. It simply leaves us stressed, depressed and unhappy.

The Bible tells us that we have an answer in Almighty God. He cares for us and is concerned about everything in our lives. It’s hard to do, but we can give our fears and concerns to Him, rest in His presence and know that He loves and cares for us. We need to saturate ourselves with His Word, spend time in prayer and reach out to others and minister to their needs. As we do, our cares and worries somehow seem to fade. We cannot allow fear and worry to fill our minds and cause us to bend under the weight of it all. The underlying message here is that God cares for us and as we surrender our anxieties and problems to Him, His peace fills our hearts and minds.

Thank you Lord for caring for me. Today I give you all my worries and my cares. I refuse to let them have control over my life. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
