Don't look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others too.

Many people live inside a bubble, concerned only about their personal desires and interests. However, this pandemic, while tragic and devastating has brought about positive changes in many people. Each day we see and hear heartwarming stories of people showing concern, care and compassion for their neighbours and even strangers. No longer are they oblivious about the needs of others, but now they willingly venture beyond their self imposed boundaries and take a genuine interest in the lives of those around them.
It doesn't require a lot to be interested in others. It could be as simple as a telephone call, a promise to pray for a need, a social visit, or something tangible as mowing the lawn for a neighbour, getting a meal for someone and the list goes on and on. As followers of God, we are called to care for others and be interested in their lives. This is our mandate from God.
Thank you Lord for loving me. Help me to live unselfishly and be interested in those around me. I pray that I will be of service in any way I can. I love you Jesus. Amen!
