She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future.

As we honour mothers today, I am so thankful that I was blessed with a mother who personified the words in these verses. She went home to be with the Lord several years ago but her legacy of love, strength, dignity, compassion, wisdom, kindness and an unwavering belief in God lives on.
Life can be difficult for mothers as they try to navigate the demands of everyone and everything around them. In fact, it can prove to be overwhelming at times. Thankfully, we can ask God to fill us with strength, wisdom and the ability to respond with love and compassion in dealing with our loved ones. Along with many others, I can testify to that fact that children will always remember the love and attention of their mothers and not the material things that were given.
Thank you Lord for mothers everywhere. Help me to be a mother filled with love, wisdom, dignity, kindness and compassion. When I'm tired and weary, fill me with Your strength. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
