Blessings on the King who comes in the Name of the Lord! Peace in heaven and glory in highest heaven.
Luke 19:38
NLT Bible
Today signals the start of the week leading to the death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ. On this day, as Jesus entered Jerusalem riding on a colt, His disciples spread their cloaks on the road for Him and the crowds waved palm branches and shouted praises to Him, acknowledging Him as King. They still didn't understand that He was the Saviour of the world and in fact, in less than a week, many of them would be part of the crowd shouting for Him to be crucified.
Jesus knew His death was imminent and that unimaginable pain and suffering awaited Him, but He forged ahead willingly. He was prepared to endure it all because of His undying love for us. Today, we can join in unison with the millions of believers around the world singing praises to God and thanking Him for being our Lord and Saviour.
Thank you Lord for sending Your Son. You are great and worthy to be praised and I sing praises to Your Name, O Lord. You are my King. I love you, Jesus. Amen!
Be Blessed!
Lydia
