Bible Verse for July 1st.

My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.

John 15:12

NIV Bible

There are many people who continually profess their love for God, yet find it difficult to love the people around them. It's good to talk about our love for Him, but our actions must 'line up' with our words. If we love God we will love each other regardless of social standing, race, religion and ethnicity. If we don't genuinely love them, then we can't really claim to love God.

Not everyone is easy to love but we are commanded by God to love them anyway. We are imperfect, flawed, make mistakes and 'mess up' often, but that doesn't impact God's love for us. He just keeps on loving us. If God can love us in spite of who we are, we have to do likewise and love each other.

Thank you Lord for loving me. Help me to love my neighbour and to love as You love. Fill me with love, compassion and empathy for all people. I love you, Jesus. Amen!

Be Blessed!

Lydia
